Puzzles!

What sort of puzzles are you hoping to see?

What i hope is that they somehow change.. once you completed that quest in oblivion you knew the order and no longer had to do the quest

fire > frost > fortify magica > sever magica

Id like to see some logic puzzles, pushing blocks, lighting torches and hitting switches... ya know, LoZ stuff

There will be plenty.

As for what I'd like to see....maybe something Lara Croft-esque, without the annoyance.

But, I'd prefer things to an "Indiana Jones" level.

I liked the sound/music "puzzle" in Bloodmoon.

The trick in a good puzzle is to make the player feel smart, but at the same time the puzzle shouldn't be so hard that it gets annoying.

I'm hoping for lots of bash puzzles. You know... the kind where there's a door, or an enemy in front of an objective and you have to figure out how to bash it out of the way.

:D

Or perhaps a game of wits, whereby you try to figure out how to bury a blade in your opponents gut before he does the same to you.

I suppose, i enoy tough puzzles but im relatively good at solving them.

What id also like to see is more creativity in traps as well.

The traps in oblivion were far too easy and not lethal enough...

Should a person be penalized for failing to solve a puzzle? like take damage for the wrong answer

I agree entirely but that's hard to do in a game which isn't a dedicated puzzle game. Think of how many "tutorial" levels Portal has before it gets into the complicated and rewarding puzzles. Also given that the game isn't linear and a player can encounter any puzzle at any time they all have to be at a beginners difficulty.

I don't even need to think , TES has the best puzzles ever in any videogame , and Skyrim for sure will have the best puzzles ever , Bethestda does everything so perfect, no other game is even close to their mastery

puzzles would be really interesting...i love them cos they offer the player a different aspect of the game which is logic rather than just raw power and brute force hehe
