Big Money Items

Post » Sat Apr 24, 2010 8:40 pm

Just a quick question for the more experienced Fallout New Vegas players, are there any items that sell for substantially more money to specific NPCs like the pre-war books in Fallout 3 (to the BoS scribe)?

snow globes like someone mentioned already but also the boomers base has lots of combat armor in a few spots and combat armor is worth a lot of caps so just the amount of combat armor alone there is prob 15 or 20 thousand caps worth easily.

Don't bother with Missiles to Raquel. You're giving them away for free then.

Hey, I am now at hardcoe mod 15 hours inn and i would say in causal game or hardcoe u will need to kill

legions, vipers and raid facilitys or collect alot of often seen items like wiskey, saparilla bottles empty,
and try to make as much profit possible or help the Van Dam for medium armor worth 6k in without dinging 10 so i did this time.

I will say that after u played the game a few times u find ur own way to make as much caps as possible :)

Thats only as long as Mr. House lives. Jane vanishes once you open his Antechamber.

Pretty much any weapon you know you're not going to use. The price for weapons in Vegas is so much more realistic than it was in F3 it just isn't fair. 10mm pistols sell for about 1,000 caps in full repair. 10mm SMG's sell for about 1,200 caps in 60% repair. Frag grenades versus Dynamite might be a bit tricky, I choose to sell the grenades personally because they sell for about 150 caps a pop. Need more info, or will that suffice??

Actually, you don't even need a stealthboy. I've found this to work,
Spoiler
pick up the weapons (not by taking them, if you're on the console RS), go into the bathroom area in the back of the shop, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T CROUCH, and just take it. And don't forget to close the door, just in case!

The only drawback is some of the weapons might be in poor repair and not sell for what they're worth. Great mantle pieces, at least!

I was talking more about "generic" type items, ie. pre-war money, cigarettes, pre-war books, scrap metal, empty sarsparilla bottles, etc. I seriously appreciate any and all replies though, thanks a million guys, it's really nice to find a good community of gamers that actually want to help each other and the less experienced gamers.

I get a chuckle anytime someone mentions that something in this game is more "realistic." haha
