Characters from the elder scrolls novel

Post » Tue Apr 27, 2010 3:08 pm

Forgive me if this has been made before but would you like to see any of the characters from the elder scrolls novel in Skyrim? Would you like to have quests based around them or have them as companions?

There is still a second book to be released. We have no idea what will happen to the characters.

But if any survive and make an appearance it should be Sul. That Dunmer is one badass...

I'd like to see a copy of The Most Current and High Adventures of Prince Attrebus. Oh, and maybe Attrebus's armour or Sul's robes or something as an artifact you can collect.

I think Sul's probably in Morrowind, if the Loveletter is anything to go by, and if the "House Sul" is indeed a Great House started by that particular Sul (it is a pretty common Dunmer name, after all).

I haven't read the books but they sound awesome something should be added as a sort of inside joke for those dedicated fans but nothing that would require reading the books to understand

The only, only character who could even live long enough to appear in Skyrim is Sul. Attrebus and Annaig will be dead as of Skyrim simply because their human. Skyrim is 200 years after oblivion and the the infernal city is 40 years after oblivion. 160 years between the first book and Skyrim. They are definitely dead by Skyrim. Sul could still be kicking around, assuming he isn't too old already. We might hear rumblings about a house sul if Sul is in fact its founder.

As for your question, No, I have no particular interest in seeing Sul kicking around.

This. 160 years, plus whatever might happen in the second book leaves a lot open.

Clavicus Vile and Hircine should be in  Leave the rest. Some things are best left in their written form. Some references would be nice though, such as ingame books and artifacts.

Anna?g is a Breton isn't she? I've seen someone post that they are partially mer and partially human. I have no idea what their life span is though.

I really hope Attrebus builds an honorable Empire after the events of the books but that's all a mystery since the second half isn't out yet.

Somehow I'm pretty sure Sul will die in the second book. You know, Obi-Wan type of characters, they always die. Plus he's a character that has nothing to lose and his only goal is revenge, and that type of character have shortened lifespan too... Sad but true (Ok, not true, but if he doesn't die it would break all my literature templates...)

I think it’s always possible in the elder scrolls universe. I always imagine the painting quest in oblivion. What if a character got trapped in a realm which did not age them, sometime between the books end and Skyrims beginning? I think that would be awesome. Prob won’t happen but yeah, I agree with others that some reference to them within the game would be good. Will also be interested to see what happens to the sword as its been in the elder scrolls for quite a while.

I think he'll live to found House Sul and help make the way for the future depicted in the loveletter from the 5th era. Having him be possessed by a suicidal commitment to stopping Vuhon for both books would mean he didn't develop as a character at all, and is therefore BATW.
