I'm not going to get this game quite yet.

I was trashing this game earlier when I started seeing gameplay and how similar it looked to Fallout 3. I really loved Fallout 3 but got tired of it after a while. That's probably why I hated on New Vegas. But recently I started messing around of Fallout 3 again and fell back in love with it. Now I kind of want New Vegas. But I've heard of how buggy the game was and I think I'm going to hold off for a while. I'll wait a year for the GOTY edition with all of the DLC and when the game will have a ton of patches to download. :D

EDIT: Also I was considering getting it for PS3. I have FO3 on 360. Can anyone clarify if the PS3 version uses L1 and R1 to aim and shoot? Because I hate shooting with those triggers on the PS3 controller.

New Vegas is only similar to Fallout 3 in superficial ways. In every way that's important (gameplay, writing, quest structure, dialog) it is absolutely superior and more in-line with Fallout 1 and 2.

You really should consider picking it up.

Unless you have anything better to buy then I'd suggest you buy it.

Waiting for about a month or so until the game gets another patch or two and the first decent mods start coming out it's probably not a bad idea but I wouldn't wait for a whole year.

Is the DLC going to be 360 "exclusive" again? Also, Assassins Creed Brotherhood comes out next month! Wooz

EDIT: If someone can give me an incredibly good reason to get the game (something I have to experience or see that I couldn't see in FO3 :P). I'll get it ASAP.

This.

I had my rants BEFORE the game came out. It is hard to develop a convincing argument aganist something you haven't had any actual experience playing.

But if you have the patience to wait, waiting for all the DLC's is a great idea.

I got the game on the release date in Europe, where the first patch was already released. I haven't run into any bugs yet.
Of course there's much more things to do in NV compared to FO3, with the whole casino thing. More weapons and so on. I will definitely recommend it to you :)

Thank god. I've been waiting to see if you would buy this game or not before I made my decision. Good to finally know.
Ok... No it's not. I don't care. Should I list all the products I'm not buying?

FO3 was pretty mediocre, and well tbh.. Not very good.

Oblivion was a far better game, FO3 was just extremely over-hyped. FONV runs about the same, much more and better content. Is also a heck of alot more fun.

I also didn't get all those bugs others were getting, Oblivion v1 had alot more bugs.. And so did Fallout 3 v1. Crashing in this was the least frequent game from Bethesda since.. Well Daggerfall.
