I need a key to get in....where is this key?????Frustrating

A key to get in? What did you do, kill the guards and discover the gate locked? If so, that's funny.

Did you kill the gaurds? as far as i can tell, you kill the gaurds, its over.

First off you really shouldn't make two threads asking about the same thing... just stick to one. As for being locked out if you kill the guards im pretty sure one has a key. Or if you're on pc you could enable the console, click the gate, and then type unlock.

you could try going to Mick & Ralph's and buying the passport.

This is a common bug. try to get in good enough with the NCR to be able to use the mono rail. if you kill the guards, save first. before any of this, try loading the most recent auto save. (save often, every time you get a chance)

I had same thing happen last night, I thought it might be becasue I had done too many NCR quests and that pissed House off = lockout of Strip? (I had sorted Benny out but hadn't gone back to House at this point)

I went to the monorail in camp mclaren but couldn't find how to make it work... maybe getting that vet ranger armor has pissed them off a little bit more than I hoped it would

So it's either get the monorail to work or finish the game without getting back on the Strip = the later being no more Yes man or House dialogue?

Nope, if you have a save made shortly before you fast traveled to the Strip and found you were locked out, try loading it. I was locked out once, loaded a save from about 3 minutes earlier, fast traveled again and was able to get in.

If you absolutely will not load an earlier save, to use the monorail you need either a NCR uniform to get past the guards (then just activate the door on it to use it), or to be Liked or higher rep with the NCR.

when you get a a message "requires a key" means that the game designers don't want you to enter at this time. you may in fact need a key or maybe hack a computer.

alright so this is just a bug if u have a PC its very very easy to fix, you just face the gate, open console, click on the gate with your moue, and type "unlock".... done!

however if your on a console good luck to ya

You can use the monorail to get to the strip or you can kill one of the securitrons at the gate and they drop a key. Might want to do to it silently though.

Avoid the whole issue. Get Boone into your group and walk right into the airport and take the monorail. With Boone in your group you're able to walk around without any problems. Plus there are missions and a marker to a snipers nest (with a sweet sniper rifle) inside the terminal.
