Travel light + high agility is actually pretty cool if you want to be a wasteland scout type. Easily out run cazadores, rad scorps. But there's still no getting away from a death claw or night stalker :)

Actually, cripple their legs and run like s$%t lol :cookie:

I'd love to say Poisons are a valid reason for picking survival.

But they aren't.

By the time I can see the message "Do you wan to poison your Displacer Glove?" a second punch will kill the target with less time for retaliation.

It would be helpful if there were more thrown weapons available or other long range delivery options, and if there were different poisons with different effects.

Bleak Venom. -150 HP over 10 seconds which is the amount of health a Giant Radscorpion has. Throwing Weapons are rare. I have only found spears but I know there are Throwing Knifes and Throwing Hatches as well

Well, with 70 survival you can get Rad Child. At max radiation, Rad Child gives you +8 hp regeneration constantly.

That works pretty well with unarmed and melee.

+1 Rad Child is one of the best perks in the game.

Also, high Survival modifies the DT bonus you get from drinking whiskey if you have Cass's perk. If you have 70 survival you get +5 DT and +2 STR from constantly drinking whiskey.

I like having a high survival skill because I have fun making the recipes. If you're not wanting to do this, it's fairly useless, in my (not so) humble opinion ;)

What this person says :)

It's not neccessarily useless becasue the food for example enhances Hp regeneration, but on the other hand there are many other ways to regain health. The biggest plus for me was that it is a fun thing to do and may give you motivation to explore and find ingredients (and locations etc that you may not have found otherwise). I wanted to check it out becasue it was a skill I haven't used before, now I've checked it out I probably won't bother with it again.
