Where can I upload/download Oblivion plugins/mods?

Post » Tue May 25, 2010 3:51 pm

Followup to previous issue of uploads without permission:

I've attempted several times since April 1 to PM the person who said to PM them. I've received no response, and all of the mods are still listed there without permission. I realize the legal situation here is tenuous but I think it's bad form to list a site here that allows this sort of behavior to go unchecked.

Precisely why that site is not listed at the Wormhole. I can't in good conscience support such blatant disregard for the inherent courtesy of those that have made this community what it is today.

Those responsible should do the honorable thing and hide their shame.

I was browsing through the list of websites and found that the following sites are dead :

http://www.testavern.com/
http://www.filenova.co.uk
http://www.ttsdatacenter.org
http://mintypaulo.proboards67.com/

So I thought that you'd like to know that. :P

Hi everyone..My first post here.
Total Noob question incoming, please bear with me.

I have just received Oblivion 'game of the year edition'. The one with all the expansions on the one disk.
It is an Australian version...or whatever they sold here.

I'm very interested in modding the game, but not sure the 'correct procedure' to go about it.
Is there a patch I have to do before modding and what would be some recommended 'Quality' mods to include.

I really like the UI and color map mods I've seen around the nets and any other recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Try here : http://www.andysaurus.psychodogstudios.com/indexPsychoDogsOblivionCSM.htm#ImpsForever if you want something that may be different.

Something that modders may need to know is that if your game crashes when you are in combat it is because your meshes are faulty, and crash on combat colission. The reason is unknown and it may affect all models produced with Blender nif exporters prior to the advent of the Fallout3 exporter. It can only be cured by re-exporting the mshes using the newer exporters. Thats why there are some Hardrada plants allowed to survive in Imphome - I use them for model testing.

I have a mod under development which is getting no interest at the Psychodogs website, and cannot have a thread in these forums ( it's "politically incorrect" - to be somewhat disengenuous about it and economical with the truth ).
Anyone know of a site that might be worth opening a thread at ?
Ihe mod involves a new playable race with permanent companions, rideable pack horses to carry your stuff, nudity, fetishish, bdsn content, lava immunity and free outfits via fleshy pod technology - its meant as a fun mod, suitable for players with weak fighting skills who just want to explore. It includes a new worldspace where the new race hide, or hang, out.
Even saying this much about the mod could get the thread pulled.

I hope that it's a right topic for my question.

I must say that I'm annoyed of default bartering from Oblivion, will all this clicking on "Yes". Where I can find a mod which removes that communicate "Sell XYZ for YYY gold?", allowing me to barter faster?

I will be great if someone could turn bartering into that one from F3 - it would be even more comfortable, at least in my opinion.

You want the latest Mod Detectives thread.

I wish this post had a simple warning to use these sites at your own risk on the front page. Any time you go to an unofficial site like the nexus to download content you are putting your computer at risk. Many people myself included have had their computers corrupted to the point of a format by going to those sites, the nexus got me, I had virus protection and didnt click on any adds. Seems to be very random and not too common luckily but when it happens its an enormous hassle.

You should inform the Nexus admins if you're getting malware off Nexus. Also, I don't really think a warning is necessary - this is the internet, and so you're always at risk, though the more popular a site is, the less likely it has malware, but you never know. I would have thought it to be near-ubiquitous knowledge, and they've already got the big disclaimer.

http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/ is not on the list? I'd say it fits to the picture.

Probably need to have the mods add it. OP hasn't been around in ages and is the only other person who could make the edit.

So, if the OP doesn't come on the site anymore, why is this post still stickied?
Shouldn't someone take this one down, and make a new list?

As a little bit of a newer person coming here, it's hard to even understand much what to do here, ontop of that sift through a half broken list.

Thanks. But since this is an English speaking forum and the moderators don't speak multiple languages and thus can not check the site for "unallowed content" I will be closing this thread and removing your link. Sorry.
