The Monorail Quest

For I Put A Spell on You:

I let Boone kill the spy after the radio transmission. I confronted him but Boone said "you're mine" and he was.

Does this count as I killed the spy toward the 5 points needed for Boone's personal quest? I'm thinking yes but not sure.

Edit: Oh wait...the spy in the radio tower. No, killing that guy is not one of Boone's quests. The completion of I Put A spell on you is...the saving of the monorail I think...it's not specific to one person within it.

2nd edit: I'm wrong. I looked it up and I guess it is. Usually have my points by then haven't paid enough attention heh.

Thanks, LadyC. It won't be long before we'll know the answer. I think it counts and that means I have 3 of the 5 points. When I free the crucified NCR hostages, that should trigger Boone's personal quest. I'll post here if and when that happens.

Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the videos you're making. I've only gotten to see Boone's stuff in my own game and there's a lot more depending on speech choices, battles, etc. Thanks, I gave it a Like. I still watch the dance one too. See you in the Mojave. :)

Did he say anything when you killed the radio tower guy? I've killed the Legion prisoner before but Boone didn't say a word...but it did count as a point. Unfortunately the female NCR glitched and became stuck in that room and I couldn't access her anymore. heh. It would be nice to get 3 points from that one quest chain. I usually go powder-gangers & Cottonwood. It might be nice to be able to put Cottonwood off until later sometimes.

I killed the spy in my first game and that one didn't make the 5 pt requirement because it was early. He killed the spy this game and it was the same. I'm at 3 pts if his kill counts and I think it does because his actions get me bad rep with factions, so why shouldn't it? I just wondered if anyone ran into a problem by letting him kill the spy and it doesn't appear so. No, Boone didn't say anything yet in this game but he got on me when I asked about his wife. :(

I read about the Boyd glitch if you leave the room when she enters in the middle of the Silus interrogation but I never leave the room. I just stay in there and all is well. I don't get points for that one because I get the info without laying a finger on him so no +1 there; Boone can't always have what he wants.

I also do Booted (Powder Gangers) +2, and Silus Treatment +1 and I do the rescue of the crucified Nelson NCR guys for +2 and I save Cottonwood Cove for later (not worried about the points) after I get the Rebreather because we like to go swimming and wash the desert dust off. :D We never pollute the scenery with radiation barrels though...Boone just takes care of business and empties the place out. This time he has backup with Arcade and Veronica and ED-E so it should be even easier.

I think Boyd glitched on me because I tried to do both...get most of the INT option info from him then attacked w/out clicking the last dialogue bit...but I landed the killing blow about 2 seconds too late as Boyd ran into the room to tell me how awesome I was, so after talking to me she became stuck trying to talk to the prisoner, who was now a corpse. I never left the room. :D

I don't do the radiation barrel bit either...I prefer either direct combat or sniping from the hills. Mmm...sniping....delicious. Isn't multi-companions fun? I'm so addicted to having at least 2 humans, sometimes 3, now. It's often very funny.

I agree about the multiple companions and I have to tell you that it was the second scene in your dance video with Arcade, Raul and Boone and the Lakelurks that finally made me decide I had to mod. I wanted Arcade and his Energy Weapon and Boone and his All-American...both. I just had to have them so thanks for the inspiration to finally learn it. I'd been thinking about it since Oblivion.

Tonight we go up Black Mountain...we're on our way, Raul. I'm planning on a smaller number of companions because 5 is a lot and it's hard to go through a door with them all. :D It'll be hard to decide who gets cut but there's lots of game to play and I haven't done all of their quests yet. Black Mountain should be good. :)
