Hey so im about 13 hours into the game and im already planning on making a sniper build for my second run through and i was wondering... where the hell do i find "Lead" to make bullets at a workshop bench? I have yet to find one anywhere in my 13 hours of play... maybe i had em but sold em since im playing an unarmed build atm.

Also... is Veronica pretty much completely useless on hardcoe? If she dies then she dies forever... if you tell her to wait somewhere then what's the point of being able to use her crafting perk since you'll probably find a bench closer to where your at opposed to where Veronica is waiting.

You get lead by breaking down scrap metal, it's towards the bottom of the list when you click on the workbench iirc.

My mistake - it's the reloading bench that gives you the option to break down scrap metal to lead, I just checked and it's right at the bottom of the list

Don't bother breaking down Scrap Metal to make lead. The big bottleneck in ammo production seems to be primers. Which means you'll have to find the *other* ammo type for that sized weapon (large pistol is 10mm or .44 magnum, small pistol is 357 or 9mm, etc) to break down for primers (unless you find a gun runner). In the process of breaking down the other sized ammo, you'll end up with lots of lead. If you still find yourself short after breaking down ammo for primers, then go ahead and turn scrap metal into lead.

(Small Pistol and Small Rifle primers need to be added to the Goodsprings General Store merchant, at least enough to make 100 rounds or so at a time.)
