Errr. Let me explain how I approached the game before I say its completely gone. Maybe something happened that I wasn't aware of, let me explain. I was on the point of the main story line where I was supposed to go confront Benny in the Tops. I went and spoke to Mr. House before going to confront Benny, I followed him to his apartment, snuck by the guards, then killed Benny took his gun Maria and the Chip. After this I spoke to Yes Man, and then decided to play through most of the side missions outside of the main story line before thinking of how to continue this story with the Platinum Chip.

Fast forward 2 days later, and I dont have the freaking chip in my inventory. I went and checked Benny's dead body, not there. I went and checked my 4 houses that I might have put it in a random chest, not in any of them (you cant even put quest items in any chests). Outside of those two options, the only two things I can think of that could cause the chip to be out of your inventory before doing any of the quests that require you to give it away would be either Ceiser has it even though Im hated by the legion. Or when I was walking into one of the 40 places on the strip and freeside that remove your weapons, one of them took it.

Im posting here because Im doing a hard mode run through, and the last thing I want to do is to run through Ceisers freaking Fort while hated by them on hard mode, or check the 40 buildings in Vegas that remove your weapons....


Basically, what happened to my Platinum Chip. Thanks to anyone who can atleast respond with any information at all.

If you met with Ceasar, his men take the chip as you enter the fort.

Agent your the man. Is it on Ceasar then? I did go into the fort to get the Bio-Dogs brain.

Its probably on Ceasar. Time to make him a salad?

haha, yeah Ill do my best. Time to save 40 times in 20 minutes so I can make it out with boone alive.

Here's a tip. Why not tell boone to wait and use a stealth boy and pickpocket ceaser if he truely does have it. If he doesnt you can probably sneak crit 1/2 shot everyone with a knife without getting caught lol. I did this at Camp Mccarren cuz i got bored and wanted to bring in hell.

yeah I did a similar process. I guess that you can pickpocket ceaser, or else all of his guards will see through your stealth boy and [censored] you. What I did is I entered the shack with the stealth boy on, had boone waiting outside the shack, then sniped ceaser in the head, then ran outside of the shack before the AI processed ceaser was dead. This worked the first time so I went up and looted his body then decided I wanted to kill everyone else in the room. I just did the same thing, sniped one person then ran out. Sometimes one person would actually come after me outside of the shack but that was nothing me and the boonster couldnt handle.


EDIT: Oh yeah, by the way, he did have the freaking chip. I had been there two times, one to get my dog friend a new brain, the other to demolish their entire base to get my chip back... not sure why he needed to have it.
