Recommended version?

Hi all,

I know there's probably been topics about this before, but my searches didn't turn up anything, so if you'd like to direct me to them then that'd be great.

If not, I'd like to know if there's any differences between the game versions (360, PS3, and PC). Usually I'd opt for the PC version, but if I did it probably wouldn't play on my brother's PC. So, being the sharing and caring person I am, I'm considering getting it for the PS3, but wasn't sure if I'd be missing out on much (aside from mods). Help?

Thanks in advance.

Other than missing out on the mods, I think the PS3 version is the way to go because the PS3 and the PC both have patches out. No patches that are worth anything for the 360 yet, which is sad because i am a 360 fan.

I have to question what you mean by "buy it on PS3, before you shoot ur self" sounds like PS3 fanboyism to me. Anyway if you don't think it'll work very well on PC i'd recommend the PS3 version, it has a patch out and the 360 version doesnt. Unless you really want to talk to ppl on 360 whilst playing (though you could just turn the 360 on to do so lol) so i'd recommend getting the PS3 version.

PC version.

I haven't experienced half the bugs that the console users (particularly 360 users) are complaining about. Also, in general, it runs smoother than Fallout 3 did for me on the same settings.

Thanks for the replies. At this stage, it looks like the PS3 is the correct option for me. I'm still hoping others will chime in with their suggestions and comments, though. Don't be shy.

Don't base your decision on what's happening now, base it on what's going to happen in the long run, I would stick with the PC, version, you will have way more versatility in the long run.

I play on the 360 and haven't seen any major glitches/bugs but w/e... to each his own. I would suggest you get it for the gameboy color... your able to hook up to your friends gameboy with a cord and trade deck cards :)

I like these games on PC BECAUSE so many things can go wrong... and on the PC, there is ALWAYS a way to fix what goes wrong, with some community-made patch/mod, some .ini tweak, a console command or something else.

If the game can be modded - go with the PC version.

Especially in more open-ended games like this where mods can add months or years of enjoyment to the game. Play it a few times with vanilla, then start adding mods that change the game play, or add new quests and locations, or tweak things to be more to your personal tastes, etc.

PC with very few problems so far. Close to 24 hours into the game.

Really though, PC is just the way to go. Not only because of mods, which is just *huge* in my opinion, but also because of the possibility of fan patches as well after Bethesda / Obsidian slows down on their patches (but not before hopefully fixing as many quest-related problems as possible).
