Hello guys.. I just wanted to start a topic about one thing that i always thought was really kinda stupid..

Everything attacks YOU on sight mudcrabs wolves mountain lions minotaurs ogres i mean seriously why does everything want to kill you on sight?

Atleast things like Mudcrabs shouldn't attack you on sight maybe if you get too close to them or attack them..

Bethesda fixed this so not all creatures want to kill you.

I think they're getting rid of some of that. Like Giants won't mess with you if you don't mess with them...

Deer in oblivion didn't attack me.

Maybe you smell really bad? No matter why it is it isn't as bad as Far Cry 2

Yup. And I'm really really happy about it. Makes things so much more believable, and even cool and exciting.

I thought the same exact thing in Oblivion. There was a mod that fixed this. But when I installed the mod and played the game, I felt very lonely. I didn't want to go up to creatures and attack them...I kind of wanted them to come to me. And once I saw a rat in a dungeon and I was like "OMG rat!" And he was just walking around. I was confused. Then I remembered I installed the mod. :poke: I uninstalled the mod a bit later. For some reason, I like when all creatures attacked me. Maybe it was just the mod (almost all wildlife didn't attack me). I hope they do something like what this mod did to Oblivion (but way better).

This will not happen anymore. Confirmed.

What do you mean by this? Not everything is going to attack you anymore? I at first thought that you meant all monsters will attack you. But now I'm not so sure.

Perhaps they just love you, and you misinterpret it as hate.

If you read the context of this whole thread you should be able to understand what he meant.

There will be passive and aggressive enemies. The passive enemies won't attack unless provoked.

Yea, Giants are said to be passive.

I read the whole read. But I'm still not sure what he meant.

It can be taken both ways...

First way -

A few people say that not all monsters will attack you on sight. Then he posts this saying this will not happen anymore, meaning monsters will attack you all the time.

Other way -

He's replying to the thread and not to other people who have confirmed that monsters won't attack you on sight.


Sorry that I'm misunderstanding what he's meaning.

bethesda has fixed this problem, some creatures will not attack you. in oblivion, most npcs and deer didnt attack you on sight, not everything

Perhaps mudcrab's just hate people because they are victims of rumors being spread by NPC's throughout Cyrodiil.

Maybe Skyrim folk are more kind.

Yeah they said somewhere that this was fixed, like if you stay your distance or if wolves had already eaten they wont attack. Im so glad they fixed this, it really bugged me in OB.
