what equipment to give side kicks?

i am been having problems with Veronica. after we get ambushed by some of the brotherhood, she will stop following. she will be in my party but won't fast travel with me or move when i do. any way to get to follow me like before the ambush?

try going to gibsons shack and she should appear there when you fast travel there and then upload the info from the pc terminal again and she should follow you after that, thats what worked for me when she stopped following me after the brotherhood tried to kill us,

If she doesn't respawn for a long time, go to Vault 22 and take the elavator down, she will respawn.

The only companion that I bother making that extra effort for is Raul. Get him into his Vaquero outfit then toss him a Trail Carbine and 400 rounds of SWC ammo. With my 6 Charisma the ugly old fart is dealing more damage with that gun that I can with the Cowboy perk. I just watched him and ED-E wipe out the strip's entire force of securitron Mk2s with very little help from myself.
