Wild Card Ending

Alright so here ... http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_endings ... it says that on the "Wild Card" Ending if you complete you and what army, then you will get this ending cut scene...

"The Courier, with the aid of Yes Man, drove both the Legion and the NCR from Hoover Dam, securing New Vegas' independence from both factions. With Mr. House out of the picture, part of the Securitron army was diverted to the Strip to keep order. {Beat, slightly lower}Any chaos on the streets was ended, quickly. Chaos became uncertainty, then acceptance, with minimal loss of life. New Vegas assumed its position as an independent power in the Mojave"

However, that was not that case for me...is this something that the patch fixes, or does it just not work that way?

You had to accept Yes Man's idea about gaining more securitron support when you talk to him in Benny's Suite, and then you should get the quest. After that, make sure you don't kill Mr. House or the quest will bug. Go the The Fort and activate the securitions in the bunker and you'll get that ending.
