Patch note questions

Post » Mon Jun 28, 2010 7:35 pm

I am putting this here because it involves some glitches and exploits.

1. Did they fix the Goodsprings infinite xp/extra perks glitch? I hope not... I never got a chance to use it. :)

2. Did they fix the infinite cap/ammo/weapon/armor exploit, the one about duplicate weapons and armor?

Yeah I think those are the only ones I care about.

Maybe instead of a new thread I should just add this here. I don't know yet about your questions.

Unfortunately, the PS3 Patch didn't fix the problem I have on Oh My Papa. I had spoken with Papa Khan early on during the Return To Sender quest for the NCR because I was in the canyon. So I stopped in to say hello, as a visitor to his encampment would do, and spoke with him. Evidently I selected the speech option about an alliance with another faction without realizing it would be needed later in the game when I actually had his quest. We're told to speak with everyone because it may lead somewhere in these games but now I'm hesitant to do that because it may screw something up. If that speech option had returned when you actually had the Oh My Papa quest, it would've been fixed. I know now to NOT speak with Papa until the quest but I'm wondering if there are any other Great Khan quests that I should specifically do in a certain order so there can be an alliance with the NCR for my outcome, which is what I was heading for. I'm not an assassin so I won't go that route for the NCR.

Anything else I should watch out for now? Thanks. I really do love the game and some day, I'll actually see the end scenes. :)

The other thing I'm wondering is if Boone is still a beast after the patch. I'll check that myself later. :D

I am pretty sure there is an intended flow of quests that must be followed for any given series of quests. The error lies in that they neither told us that nor did they make it impossible to ruin a playthrough by blocking sequence sensitive choices before those choices were valid. I hope that I just made any form of sense. :whistling:

You absolutely made sense. I think it's a logic/flowchart thing. Either I shouldn't have had that speech option when I visited Papa Khan or I shouldn't have been able to visit him until it was his quest or the speech option appears again when you come back like speech options for other characters that can be selected multiple times. Those 3 things come to mind. Fingers crossed it will still come because it's a game/quest breaker for the path I wanted.
