ideas for the crime

Post » Thu Jul 01, 2010 7:42 am

lets say i have a bounty and the guards are looking for me, and i put a full face mask on then the guards wont know its me, but if my bounty is high they may ask people in the town to remove there mask
or do a gray fox like thing

they will also put wanted posters up which may or may not come with an award, so if a citizen saw my in town they may beg for mercy, go tell a guard or even accept a bribe to look the other way

after awhile they might start sending bounty hunters and assassins after you, or spies to uncover your identity if you do the gray fox like thing

Yes to all three suggestions. Todd smiled when he mentioned the crime system in the Inside Gamer video interview. Can't wait to see what it's all about.

All solid ideas, I think. I mostly just hope that all stolen items aren't magically branded with a black mark that every merchant in the world can somehow see.

I like the sound of it, it'd make you feel like a proper criminal who is actually wanted. It'd also be good if every single guard in the entire world didn't know your face the second anyone saw you commit a crime.

Well There is a thing I came up with.... Nothing much ^^

Imperial Watch Report
4E 159-4E 165
[4E 159] The Imperial City Has Been Calm Lately. No Robberies Or Thefts. They happen rarely. The Thieves Guild Have Set Theirselves A Guild Hall In The Middle Of The Oblivion Crisis. It has been down lately and there are no CRIMINAL SCUM in Cyrodiil.
[4E 162] The Dissappearence Of Things is TERRIBLE! They are stealing everything. Thieves guild members are found everywhere with STOLEN GOODS. They Redused to PAY THE COURT THEIR FINES.
[4E 165] The Criminal Scum Of The Thieves Guild Have Given Up and Gave Back Their STOLEN GOODS, As Well They Payed Their Fines. Only some of them died. Some of them died from old age, jail or poisoning. Some commited Suicides.
END OF REPORT

Anyways I Hope There are no psychic guards.

As regards crime, i'm sure something intriguing is in the pipeline. Todd won't part with the juicy information just yet but his smile in the interview said it all; we will just have to wait for e3.

I love all these ideas.
adding on to that, your speechcraft should be a factor when trying to make the civilian "look the other way"

I hated how i would just get finished with my killing spree and when ever i spoke to a guard he would instantly know my bounty as well as the fact that i commited a crime... Very Annoying

Yeah I'd like something a little more fun, I'd also like to see the NPC's do a little more crime as well.

kinda sorta like the thread I had stared a while ago about ESP guards. I want to be able to either bribe or kill a witness before my crime is reported and I want the ability to sneak in a city to avoid guards on top of all of that. I hate it when the guards instantly start running to arrest you.. I think they should have to see you first AND keep that line of sight long enough before they lose you and have to find you.

Yeah, OB guards were annoying. Except for the ones that were like "But since we're friends I'll look the other way" blah blah blah. I can't wait to see what Skyrim has in store and also wanna see the different jails Todd mentioned.

I want to be able to wear guard and uniform and be treated like one.
also if I change clothes or put a mask on then I wont be recognized by the guards or something .
Better prisons too, should put more prisoners and make it feel real with torture chambers and stuff .

I think its confirmed that if you kill a npc, his/her relatives might send bounty hunter after you.
