Tribal Pack=Win

Just have to say that the tribal pack is class, man.

I've leveled up a few levels and the tribal armor and Machete is still my favourite set up!

Good game Obsidian+Beth.

I liked Classic myself for the "Armored Vault 13 Suit". The canteen was nice as well but once I discovered what it did, I got rid of it. The pre-order packs were pretty decent and gave you the option to pick what you wanted to look like at the start of the game and what items you started with. Though back in the day we would just call this a "game feature" and not a pre order item. :toughninja:

Well, in my experience the Classic pack is the only pack that is a real bonus. Aren't the rest of the items just regular items you can find in the game? Isn't the Vault 13 Canteen and Armored Vault Suit the only unique items in the pre-order packs? That's why I got my CE from Game Stop.

Not really. All the groups get a unique piece of armor, and a unique weapon, and some stuff everyone gets. The best armor is either the Merc pack's metal armor (DT12/Wg20) or the Caravan Pack's Light Leather Armor (DT8/Wg10), the Vault 13 suit (DT8/Wg15) is still pretty viable, but it isn't "they best".

For the weapon, the Classic Pack's 10mm is probably the best because of the low weight and continued utility.

The Classic Pack also gets the canteen, which is ridiculously useful in hardcoe mode.

I went with Caravan as I had already planned on using light/med armor, the Caravan Pack armor is still serving well, and I'm using a Gobi Sniper most of the time but the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun still comes in real handy in close quarters/buildings (urban) because of it's high damage low maintenance. If I'm not using the 'That Gun' or hunting revolver because of low ammo for those.

Yeah, I'm just thinking that the Grenade Rifle and the Caravan Shotgun both get outclassed later in the game (by the Grenade Launcher and the Lever Action Shotgun). The 10mm pistol doesn't seem to, there are better pistols, but not better high cap pistols.

I have the Mercenary Pack and I love the armor but the grenade rifle svcks. It has a faster loading time but that does not help much as it does not do enough damage.

But the 10mm Pistol is still a pistol and as such becomes outclassed as soon as you get your hands on any kind of rifle which is pretty early. The Shotgun certainly would last longer in this game as a viable choice in certain situations.
