The Akaviri are reminiscent of asians. But Tamriel is supposed to resemble Europe and africa so the Akaviri race isn't there.

So there is (or was) an "asian" race, but it likely wont be playable. There's usually Akaviri race mods, though.

nah...there are already enough asian influences(Orc armor and some Dunmer weapons and Akavir...), this isnt earth.

First Todd already said the original 10 races are the only ones in (playable atleast). Second: No. I'm not being racist or anything but why should they make an asian similar race out of the blue if it was never in any previous games :blink:

Akaviri are snake people and tiger people. Their architecture is asian but the people don't look it.

Stop being politecly correct people. A good game should not consider issues from the real world. Its a fantasy world - nothing should present anything from the real world just because its polite.

ummm... Maybe an akaviri man(but they're all dead according to Mysterious Akavir) could make an appearance. But a playable race? uumm.... Any mer would be way too far a jump from the traditional design, and i really don't see what other race could look like Asians.

How come we can't have europeans in JRPG's? Doesn't the rest of the world play them too?
No hostility intended, but just because someone plays the game doesn't mean they need their race to be represented. And TES has plenty of asian influences...
Its a western RPG, let western RPG's be what they are, and let JRPG's be what they are. If a western RPG only has a handful of asian influences then it is more than fair, and as it should be.

Again, Nirn isn't Earth. And as already pointed out there are lot of races, not just caucasian, african and asian. There are hispanic, native americans for example, none of which are shown in game :shrug:
