Would you buy a Skyrim downloadable game before release?

In recent memory, I can name 2 games that released a downloadable game to earn things for their up coming game in-game.

For example, Fable 2 pub games, if you remember, allowed you to earn money and items for Fable 2. It sort of fell short.
Dead Rising 2 had a downloadable release as well, however, instead of a collection of mini games, it was a full downloadable game made with the Dead Rising 2 engine.
The Skyrim game would likely be something more similar to how Fable 2 handled it.

The question is, if Skyrim came out with a Downloadable game in September/ October, would you buy it?

Also, what kind of game would it be? Minigames to earn money? Or perhaps a little playable prequel to the full game?

I would wait until the full game comes out. A free demo is one thing, but this sort of thing doesn't appeal to me.

I don't like the ability to get in-game items before playing the game, it sounds extremely unbalancing. I suppose something that showed off the game engine a little wouldn't bother me, it would basically be a demo without explicitly being a demo, but I'd rather BGS spend all of their resources on polishing Skyrim rather than making a pre-release bauble.

I'd pay $20 dollars for an early construction set with all the major quest figures removed.

No, I would not pay for it. But if it was free, I'd definitely download it.

It would never happen but it'd be awesome if they released content that let you dip into character creation. That way I could polish my Nord day to day instead of hastily picking a default model for the sake of playing the game. :P

No way man....

I would save my dollars for the awesome DLC expansions that will come out...

I want to see the game first off as pure as it can be...no additions, nothing more fancy than what it can deliver straight out of the box...

Similar to that spore creature creator kit that came out a few months before release?
I can imagine that, but it wouldn't be more than $5, or hopefully free.
