Agi and Str of 7 plus unarmed 90 is a hefty price - but it sounds neat. How does it work with say a machete - worth it or no?

By the time I hit level 24 my melee/unarmed character was strong enough that I didn't really notice much of a difference to be honest. You do attack faster but I'd need to be really mobbed for the faster attack to have much impact.

I picked at level 30 and didn't notice a lot of difference. With Pushy or Ballistic Fist and other Unarmed perks like Piercing Strike, attacks are so powerful that my strategy seemed to favor hitting hard over hitting quickly.

Slayer isn't all that bad of a perk at higher levels. It only really comes into play when you're against a mob of enemies but for 1 v 1, or even 2 v 1, not all that useful.

The real treat for me is that I just feel more awesome punching faster. Just sayin'.

Do feel easier to down a Deathclaw and Cazador etc. Slower weapons like Rebar Club do significantly better.
