How weapons should look like?

Post your offers how weapons should look like! Spread your visions of skyrim weaponry!
In my opinion battleaxes should be replaced with http://www.aceros-de-hispania.com/image/battle-ready-sword/3515twohand-pole-axe.JPG! So deadly and useful: cutting flesh and chain mail alike! :mohawk:

(sorry for small post and bad english)
edit:
How about having both? I'm always in favor of more variety in terms of the weapons in the game, and I don't think there's any reason why we can't have more than one type of two handed axe or two handed sword in the game.

They'll most likely have both, though technically both are axes or both are swords, it's a different feel to that typical sword. So it will feel as if there are more weapon styles when in fact there are not.

A spada longa (long sword) is not a zweihander (two hander). http://www.thearma.org/essays/2HGS.html are bigger. And they are indeed very cool looking. I wouldn't mind seeing them in the game.

Claymore and Battle axe for me. I would like the other two also but not as a replacement.

I like the claymore because it was William Wallace's type of sword. Sort of fits with Skyrim.

I just want the daedric blade weapons (if there are any) to follow those Kris-inspired style of the daggers (perhaps a flambergé for a the two handed one) but with the crazy details up to the elevens, the typical superfluous daedric style. And a proper supernatural quality about it, to boot. Perhaps by having them an unnatural capability to stand up with the blade tip downwards when being put down? (Trivia: Some older specimens of kris really does behaving this way, actually. This comes from a first hand account personally with a few of them here in Indonesia. And they don't even have to be in their best conditions for them to properly stand still, so I guess there's really more to it than some kind of an insane smithing skillz by the blade masters of back when.)

I know, "Spada Longa" was the name of the zweihander in assassins creed. It was a big sword, it required a heavy sheath to get one too, took 2 hands to swing.

Why choose between battleaxe and bardiche? Two different styles of weapons, unlike the first choice (2-handed sword, or 2-handed sword?)

(I would think, given that people picked up "there will be halberds" from somewhere, that your question would be "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halberd or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bardiche?")

Technically berdiche is a hybrid between battleaxe and halberd!

Edit: don't forget that berdiche and halberd were used for purely different reasons: berdiches were used by shocktroops and halberd were used by guards!

More like 2-handed sword or a bigger 2-handed sword that is functionally used quite differently.

@Zendrex: That's just silly. It'd be like having a longsword called "Rapier."

What's the difference?

The Scottish claymore grew out of medieval Scottish greatswords. They're bigger, but still rather similar. The zweihander, on the other hand, is a Renaissance weapon. It's a specialized sword that saw use in pike warfare. It's bigger than the claymore and has some very distinctive design differences that lent itself to a very different fighting style. The zweihander is often easily recognized by the protrusions on the blade which were used for capturing weapons and also as secondary guards for when the weilder would grip the blade for better control.

Should be a variety of almost everything. Morrowind had a huge one, so I'm hoping for something like that.
