I think I'd have to agree with the OP as well.

As long as we only get up-skirt shots with the ladies, I'm ok with this.

Maybe Bethesda should incorporate clothing sizes as well.
That would add another layer of complexity; I'm sure players would think twice about killing someone for their shoes.

Agreed, atleast Kilts for men if not dresses, as heavy armor (spaulders, chestplate, gauntlets)+dai katana+kilt can look awesome.

I agree. The Imperial Legion members wore kilt type things and it didn't look bad at all.

I know a lot of people hate this idea, but I want gendered armor too. Why should you be able to pick up a man's armor with a female character, and suddenly the shape has changed to fit your body?

Well I think every armour or piece of clothing should have a specific size, and if you find a piece of armour that's not your exact size you can't wear it. Isn't that an AWESOME IDEA?

Cross-dressing is entirely allowed in Daggerfall.

I say yes, make clothes fixed in design no matter the gender of the Avatar. This is a video game, we shouldn't judge fictitious people by their choice of outfits. If a male orc wants to wear a mini-skirt, who is going to laugh at him without getting a warhammer to the face?
I would also find it hilarious if a male avatar is forced to wear a low-cut metal-bra because that was the best enchanted chest armour he could find at the time.

I miss the purple Imperial skirts from Morrowind. Those really made the Imperial Guard armor look awesome.
