Ok I just got a steam update. When I reloaded steam after the update, none of my games are installed. WTF. Are my save files gone now??

Exit steam, restart steam.

I already tryed that and it didn't work. Im doing a system restore

System restore is a bit of a jump, don't you think? Have you even tried looking in your directories for the saves?

I read this one a lot. Going to your Steam folder and deleting clientregistry.blob and restarting Steam should fix your problem.

You should use system restore only as a last resort. Sometimes you can do more damage than good.

I'm always surprised when people post things like "it wasn't working so I deleted all my files, now what should I do?"

Sounds like a scary Steam error, I haven't experienced it before. Hopefully everything goes OK.
