I know that Tosh Raka is supposed to have turned himself into a dragon, but I think it wouldn't fit the game. If we transform what will we do with out skills, perks and equipment? And I think it would be a bit unbalanced(I know, I know: Balance is overrated. But we need some balance or the game won't be fun).

well it could be like this:

in flight you'd be unable to block due to the fact that you were using your wings at the time. :P

ranged attacks would only be possible with dragon shouts.

as for melee attacks you use bites and talons, so no bonuses from equipment.

maybe a time limit for this form as well (and a long cooldown) if you're high up in the air when this form runs out, well...let's just say you'd have a very minor case of death.

What happens if you turn into a dragon while in a dungeon or someone's house?

Nah, not really practical. Zero chance of this.

Agreed. Terrible, terrible idea. And I really wish people would stop asking the 'can we ride on dragons?' question. It's so stupid.

I don't know whether dragons in TES lore have transformation abilities, but the player isn't a dragon anyway.

well, he has the soul of a dragon... but still,

no thanks

Not interested. I guess it would be OK if they threw it in as an option like the werewolf thing or the vampire thing (which I'm not into either), and made it make sense somehow, but I'm really not into it.

I guess I'm really with Rookie 1986:
No thank you, I want to be a dragon slayer not a dragon :)

Thing is, dragons aren't heroes. They're so godlike, they don't have to overcome any challenges. Everything is easy for them.

I'd much rather play someone who can fail, so that success is meaningful.

Plus, I don't really think dragons are all that "f'ing sweet". Maybe it's just me. Actually, I do kind of look forward to fighting them and kicking their asses, partly because the animation we've seen looks incredible ... and partly so I can mock them in all their fantasy kewlness. "You think you're so kewl? I lured you to the ground and knocked your teeth out with a sledgehammer, jerk!"

I remember todd saying that the dragons fire was a shout.I'm wondering if flight is a shout also. If so then I can see why they are thinking about not having horses. shout of dragon wings anyone.....?

I'd like to add that it is not against TES lore for mortals to transform into dragons, but it's a permanent thing, and it's also completely counter-intuitive to the plot of Skyrim and not something easily accomplished nor really desirable.

I can't imagine it making any sense in context of the game.

And two different games can't have the same feature! There will also be no jumping because that's already a game, it's called Super Mario Bros.

Agree with this, would seem exact opposite of the main story line, everyone thanking you for saving them from the dragons and [censored] then bam youre permanently stuck being a dragon and are so pissed at it you start eating the faces off the people you just saved, or maybe after 1 day of dragoning another dragonborn appears and kills your ass.

Also the superior mario thing made me crack up.

Anddd i personally wouldnt want to there to be any shapeshifting or dragon riding. but thats just me
