Ever since I brought ED-E for his weapon upgrade he has not done anything to help me in a battle. He just sits there while Boone and I do all the fighting. I tried opening up the wheel to tell him to be agressive, I've returned him back to Primm then picked him up again, I told him to back up, then follow closely and all he ever does is sit there and "look" at me while I fight....


Any help?

take him to vault 22. have him wait near the entrance. then go to the fifth floor. he might show up there and be reset.

did you pick him up in prime? you drop him off to be upgraded and then around three days he goes to prime. did that happen?

For me, even after the 1.02 patch, ED-E still unfortunately still does this from time to time; he will fast travel with me but remain motionless and not fight.

My first solution is to have him wait and then follow; most of the time, that gets him going again. If not, I will fast travel to Primm and dismiss him.
After a day or so (either by waiting or just going and doing other things) I'll go back and pick him up and he's right as rain.

So far (fingers crossed) one of those solutions always works for me.
