So, I was looking through Fallout files and I found the music folder. Turns out, all the music is MPEG. I suppose you could just slot in a couple of your own songs and it'll play them on the Vegas radio? Or no?

I would assume it loads them by filename, but you might try taking out songs you don't like and replacing them with something else, renamed as the file it's replacing. Should work unless it also checks length/size when loading them.

That's exactly what I did. I went to Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\Sound\songs\radionv, then I simply threw my own MP3s in. A few renames later and I have a BRM V16 in place of Big Iron and plenty of metallica and Alice in Chains.


God that V16 sounds good.

Excellent...thanks for the heads up...I definitely am not getting off on most of the music in the wastes....If my other half hear's "...big iron on his hip.." much more, I think she'll take to me with a big iron...

I really like the song about the ranger going after the bandit, other than that the songs are worse than FO3. The radio host is cooler than 3dog though.

edit: he says, pig iron on his hip if i'm not mistaken, not big iron.
