Are they working on the PC or not? (I heard the latest patch killed the sound effects on the PC but not the xbox)

If not working on the PC how can they be added?

What were the sound effects when the lights went out? Are they still working now? I just started this quest.

I started the quest but i didnt have enough Skill to get in the cave to get her junk for her.

So i dunno.....

I'm not sure what you mean by sound effects. Specifically did you mean when talking to her or you actually meant the intimate sounds you are suppose to hear when you go to bed with her? Cause if you are talking about intimacy, all sounds for that part with any NPC you can go to bed with just becomes a blank screen. I didn't even realize that there were such sounds till I saw Youtube vids from people with Xbox and PS3. Anyways from what people say if you are on the PC, just get a mod, there are ones out there that will add sound and other special effects to it.

They are Mantis eggs though, correct?? I think so anyway...

And btw I cant finish the quest. I realized I was already lvl 30.... so no more leveling up

Mantis eggs are only the first set of eggs she wants. Then she wants eggs for other creatures, radscorpions, fire geckos, etc. The last set of eggs she wants in the quest will be the deathclaw eggs. After the she receives the deathclaw eggs, the lights go out. During the dark screen are the sounds of intimacy. If the sounds of intimacy have been removed officially by the last patch then I guess I'll end up hearing them on YouTube. (Another reason not to like games via Steam. If this was FallOut 3 or another NoN-Steam game, I could just reinstall the game and have v.1.0.0 ready to sample. But with the automatic forced upgrade when one does not want the upgrade, it svcks.)


There are other locations to get Mantis eggs. Vault 22 is not the only place to get them.

You should still be able to complete the quest - you won't get the XPs, but Lucy should still give you lots of caps and some nice weapons if you bring her all of the eggs she wants.

In order, she wants mantis eggs, radscorpion eggs, fire gecko eggs, nightstalker eggs, cazador eggs and finally deathclaw eggs.

You are on teh PC?

I did locate and download the sound fix files but haven't installed them yet to the New Vegas game folder yet.

Thought I would ask this first: Did the latest patch release fix these sound effects on the PC? What is the status now of the Red Lucy sound effects on the gaming consoles after this patch?

As of the last patch...Lucy was loud for me. And so was Sarah, Joanna (after passing speech checks), and Beatrix. With Sweetie, her elderly co-worker, and Dazzle I get the fade in-and-out while standing there. I took that as the devs way of trying to tell us banging hardened street 'hos isn't really all that much fun.
