The Journal of Dr. Galen Cooper, M.D.

This is the journal of Dr. Galen R. Cooper, the most recent escapee of Vault 101. Although he lead a decent life within the Vault, he was well aware of the survivability of the Wasteland and wanted to see what had developed after the Great War. With the help of a certain fellow doctor, he escaped into the Capital Wasteland.

JOURNAL ENTRY 001 - SEPTEMBER 15th, 2277
I made it. I'm in the ruins of what was the District of Colombia, and I am finally free. I wouldn't have been able to do it if it weren't for James's help in reprogramming Andy...That distraction was just enough for me to get away, although I think it may have scared one of the resident's children...Oh, well. What does that matter now? I'm free! Free from the Overseer's dictatorship, free from the monotony of administering drugs to the perpetually depressed people of Vault 101, free to live just how the hell I want to.

I'm writing from the ruins of a house, and am about to get some sleep, if I can. The air tastes strange, almost if the destruction of the Great War merged with the resulting background radiation...Enough of my philosophical ramblings for tonight. Tomorrow, I explore this brave new world.

End Log.
