Can I buy it

Post » Sun Sep 05, 2010 2:28 pm

If this topic has been covered I do apologize  . That being said, I have searched for specific entries and or questions on the subject but to no avail :banghead: . I do not wish to assume anything so therefore I must ask. So my question is will we be able to buy houses, castles, shops, mills or any other category of building that I may have failed to think of at this time. And if so will there be the options to have servants, employees, NPC's that work for you at your home or shop for coin, well you get the picture.

Buying property is confirmed. Other than that, nothing else has been said.

That is great, but what do you think that would look like on the inside. You know, there can’t very well be a split levelled igloo can there. Sounds like a poor man’s home to me. :hehe: Or is that a form of dwelling structure one would build when in the wild, now that would be cool, no pun intended  .

Don't believe everything you read on a forum. I was messing around. I don't want to disappoint you, I'm too nice. I probably already have though, sorry.

If it doesn't happen though that is a missed opportunity on their part. I would love a ice house on a frozen lake.

Yea, I know you were kidding. I was playing along. Plus, I liked my pun. Even though it wasn't intended.

Totally! Like in Bloodmoon, but better! They did say life in taverns (and presumably, mead halls) will be more realistic and entertaining. There's a guy in the trailer holding a lute by the way!

Phew! I felt all horrible inside for a moment then. It was an appropriate pun, yes.

Back on topic.

Yeah umm not much else on this at the moment, but it would be great if I could own my own shop selling cheese wheels.
It wouldn't smell nice and half the town would probably move away 6 miles from me, but at least I have a dream.

I don't think you'd want that. Unless you like being vampire food :)

I wish they added the option to build houses this time around :\

Instead you have to buy these pre-built houses, and they might not be what you want.

In a scenario let say u would like to build an assassin character who live a double life as a farmer or a merchant. I wish Bethesda will look into this topic until 11.11.11, 'cause it create unique possibilities within this genre. If you can decide a craft, or like to be a traveling merchant.
Perhaps just a simple farmer who would never go out to hunt dragons in the wild. Dragons and demons are too dangerous! :obliviongate:
Although in secrecy you will recieve contracts from the assassin guild - major npc's who want someone's soul after you bought a shop in Riverwood.
The rpg. aspect is breathtaking especially about future expansions and possible interigues among political factions in Skyrim.
Features:
1. Merchant guilds.
2. Henchmen - hired mercenaries/shopkeepers/sages/wenches/fletchers/smiths/bards if u decide to buy an Inn.
3. Nobility (factions & politics.)
4. Ancient family trees.
5. AI trade/bribes/competition.
