I can't wait to try out any perk mods. I can't get enough of them in FO3.

This is another reason I am so please to hear about perks, mods. There are so many of them for FO3 and FNV. I except there to be quite a few for SR.

Perks add a lot of personality and flavor to your character. I would like to see some enemies with an assortment of perks based on their level though. I think that it could potentially make each npc/enemy feel different enough in combat and in the world itself if they had perks.

They said there's going to be 280 different perks.

Was that reply meant for someone else, I am confused?

Edit:I think you were confused about my wording, I was refering to perk mods, there are a lot of extra perks because of mods for the Fallouts and I expect SR to have a lot of user made perks as well.

My only concern with the perk system is that we'll be able to choose a perk every single time we level, which I think is a bit OP. This was a problem in FO3 but FNV got it right by only allowing us to choose a perk every other level. Also, enemies need perks as well; the game would be too easy if no enemies had perks.

What I like most about perks is, in previous games skills were just a number, 0-100 ranges. They didn't mean much in Morrowind and in Oblivion with its silly perk system made them even more meaningless. But now with perk trees, and each tree having separate branches up to 3(or more), this essentially means we're getting 18x3, up to 54 different branches where each branch can be seen as a separate skill. Not to mention different perks within branches can represent skills too.

I say we have 54+ possible skills now. Are there any skills do you want to make a comeback? If you can fit it in a branch then why not? I'm pretty sure one can fit almost all Daggerfall skills in there somewhere.

FNV did not get it right, 2 perks every level is one of the most popular mods for FNV. It was one of there worst design decisions. Like Todd said its fun getting a perk, it makes leveling up more fun. I think most players would want every level to matter, not every other. If this is that big of an issue to you and you really want SR just get a mod.

@Vtastek, good point. Getting a 1% increase in a skill is not very excited, I want to notice my increase in power, perks help achieve that goal.
