Mission Glitch: We All Go Down Together

Post » Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:29 pm

I searched the forums for this topic and did not see a match so here goes...

I ran into an issue with the mission "We All Go Down Together." In the mission you have to recover 10 Irradiated Dog Tags and return them to First Sergeant Jackson. I recovered nine, including the one from the non-feral private. However, to my dismay the radar shows the final dog tag located under the corner of a building you can't enter. As a result I cannot complete the mission.

Does anyone know if this bug is common and known to the company? I am hoping this will get fixed in the update or the DLC download.

i couldn't finish the quest for the same reason.
Problem is, that the sign shows the center of the village instead of the bodies of the ghouls that have the questitem. Since a lot of ghouls got killed by enthusiastic companions or autoGuns i hadn't found all the bodies ... there is a mod to fix this called 'CampScearchlight_questitemsVersion_Point_1-36358' it worked allright for me and i deactivated it after finishing the quest.
This is the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37841 to the Mod. If you don't fancy mods you just have to keep looking for unlooted bodies.

You can also resurrect one of the ghoul troopers and kill him again. That's how I got around it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I am playing on a 360, so the mods won't help. Still, it is good to know I am not the only one to run into this.

I had that same issue, I killed them all before I took the quest and had a hard time finding all of them but, I did.
So, just look everywhere and you should find them.

Update: It turns out what happened to me might not have been a glitch after all. After hours of hunting and sniping irradiated ghoul troopers, and finding nothing, I decided to explore the area and just check the bodies. As I approached the zone where the NCR troopers normally patrol I found a dead ghoul. I knew I had not killed this one. Checking the body I found the last set of dog tags. Apparently the soldiers had killed it, so I did not know it was there. Mystery solved.

Moral of the story: If you are having trouble finding the last set of dog tags check the area where the NCR troops patrol. They may have done your work for you.
