overall stealth nerfage

So yeah I agree with the removal of stealth field from csa. It was op and that's basically the end of the discussion

That said, seems stealth in general has been nerfed pretty heavily. running 98 sneak atm and bad guys see me at night when I'm partially obscured from large distances. Cannot sneak up on *anything* to actually melee or even get a close in head shot with a shotgun or similar.

Anyone else noticing overall Stealth nerfage? ie vastly higher average perception on *all* enemy npc's making stealth only viable for 1 looong distance 1st shot and then that's that?

Imo a solution would be to either reduce enemy perception some, or maybe re-add the old csa but with less perma stealth boy effect: ie in fo3 they give you "stealth field 5" or whatever with csa, but that was basically the same as a stealth boy if you had 100 sneak. So instead make that "stealth field 5" be the equivalent to like, 15 extra sneak above any lvl including 100 or so: then you could at least actually sneak to melee range at night. In other words, nerf stealth field but keep it on csa.

If you play on PC fixing that yourself is pretty trivial in the GECK. You can go rummaging through the scripts to tweak the stealth field as you see fit, throw it back onto the CSS with three clicks, save the ESP and done.
