Do you play as good or evil?

Post » Sat Oct 02, 2010 12:28 pm

When I play I tend to play my own conscience. Which means I'm usually good but I have it in for the fascists (NCR) and I tend to dispense wasteland justice when I find someone who I think is being evil.

I have a goody two shoes who does not like the Legion, Powder Gangers, or Khans at all. These groups seem to prey on the weak as they lack empathy, and consider anyone who is not under thier control an enemy. I do not fully agree with the NCR either, but they hardly butcher towns nailing people to crosses in some sadistic form of intimidation. No i do not agree with the NCR but i would take thier ideas over the Legion any day of the week. I will admit i am still working my way through the game and do not have all the facts yet, but what i have accumulated so far tells me the Legion, Powder Gangers, and the Khans MUST DIE, it is a task i am so happy to undertake. So my asian female gunslinger named Allison will bring justice in the form of a .357 magnum, .44 magnum, or .308 to the face to all who oppose her. So go ahead, terrorize the frightened, kill the helpless, exploit the weak if you dare. I am watching, your time will come, a time when i look through the iron sights of my trusty magnums, and create the necessary third eye in the middle of your evil forehead, so many [censored]s, so little time.

Good or evil? I only wish I could worry about playing with that level of complexity. I'm still struggling to figure out how to play as someone who's left-handed for crissake.

I added a poll and also i forgot to answer the question myself :)

I play as an evil caracter, i steal, i am a cannibal and i love to turn people and factions against one another. I still accept to help people for rewards though and play nice as long as it benefits me, but I love stabbing them in the back later.

I steal tons of stuff, yet I'm very good. Know why?

You get ridiculous amounts of good karma for killing things such as powder gangers or even ghouls. I think that this is bugged. So far, I have found it impossible to NOT be a good guy. No matter how much bad karma I get, I'm still at a very good ranking because of the ridiculous amounts of good karma you get for killing things.

And no, I'm not gonna go level the town of Primm just to have bad karma. (That's for my ultimate evil bad-ass playthrough :P)

First I save, butcher the town, reload area, THEN proceed to be the good guy.

Such is the way of Elder Scrolls/FalloutNV ;D

I scour the wasteland looking for evildoers to liquify into a nutrient rich paste that can be used as fertilizer or chafing cream.

its strange. with games like these, i always play the good guy first buy i started playing as the bad guy first.... its actually made the experience pretty interesting and a little harder as well. plan on being good the seconds time around and the 3rd time around ill just do alot of exploration.

if you play evil , the gameplay can get boring and you can't experience the whole plot . so , yes , i play a good character , but that doesn't mean i'm like an god-sent angel , i do some bad things too . i will kill someone who carries an awesome weapon on him or her :) . but , anyway , i love the game ,it's really fantastic ---------- a player from China.

I don't even know what good or evil is any more. I'm leaning towards the Legion's goals, but I think they may be too overbearing for their own good. Whoever offers the most freedom to the people, with the least desire to change the land to suit themselves, shall gain my loyalty.

Strong tendency towards Good.

But I may actually play a "Bad" character in this game, since it seems like it's got alot more depth to it than FO3's shallow "Heh heh heh, I nuked Megaton. Bwahahaha?"

Neutral, I think. But I won't let my character take on most of the REALLY evil-seeming jobs, since they make me feel all bad and guilty IRL. :(

I was kind of tempted to go for the completely 'good' route like I did with FO3, but that playthrough felt restrictive after a while.

As myself +1000 karma at the moment. My first playthrough on FO3 was a goodie goodie, and so is this one. Next one will most likely be the spawn of Satan though lol

Well the karma gaining is a bit out of hand. I'm sniping fiends from windows just because I just like how the AM rifle makes em fly and I get good karma for it...

I always play the good guy on the first play through. I have to say though that it's really tempting to steal useful stuff that's just sitting there, but I haven't done yet. I even feel bad taking stuff that doesn't show up as red if I know that I shouldn't be taking it.
