It's so hard!

Well, I've started two characters so far, put about ten hours into each, and subsequently deleted them. I just can't seem to get a character setup that feels good. Coming from an Elder Scrolls and FO3 background I'm used to being able to aim towards being a demi-god. I sat down at my computer and ran a few calculations last night, and I've worked out why nothing feels quite right; I'm overstretching myself. You know what? That's a good thing. I'm loving how this game is forcing pople to specialise.

I'm going to start a new character tonight, and I'm not going to worry about character planning or anything like that. I'm going to set my SPECIAL up to reflect my personal abilities., and focus on a few skills that I'm actually fairly proficient in IRL. Take what Perks come. Anybody else come to this conclusion and just "wing it"?

Well I have now 2 character and over 30 hours of playtime.
The fact that you cant be godlike know it all man is a awesome thing!
My first toon was a jack of all trades, he could do it all, but with medicore or low skills. Also special was balanced with all 6 or 5.
Next toon was different. High luck, 9 and high int 9 and really really low charisma :D

Too bad for the bugs and desing flaws.

Yes FNV requires some pre-planning before you start playing, specially if you plan on playing hardcoe with difficulties set to hard or very hard. That's probably what i love most about the game... no more early screw ups and just make ur self godlike at endgame by boosting every stat to max. Mess up early... hard time endgame... plain and simple :)
