Making fires in the forest

Post » Thu Oct 07, 2010 2:42 pm

I am not aware of the geography of Skyrim but I must assume that there will be forests. I think it would be cool to make a fire in a forest and cook things (a cooking skill can be implemented where you cook wild boar etc..) and you can eat it as well as your companions. Of course you would need the equipment like wood to make a tripod and metal pots to cook things. It would be good because it could restore health and give you temporary bonuses for a few hours (because you leave it cooking for a few hours and people can steal your food if not wel hidden). I think it would improve the rpg side a lot

I sort of agree with you on the whole Roleplay elements, but I'm pretty sure it will not be a skill that can be leveled up, unless its added into the Alchemy skill, in the way that preparing food with different ingrediants will level this skill slightly more than just eating ingredients, but less than making potions.

Having said that I think that it should be instant with no waiting around, like the potion making.

But this should be all part of Realism Mode, similar to FO.NV hardcoe mode, so that players can choose to use this or not.

I hope it IS implemented...just think of the wicked action there would be...you attack him and he realizes what is going on and attacks you back. A duel to the death.

And to the victor goes.... the leftovers. Love it.

I would stamp on a kitten until my boots broke if I was able to make small campfires.

They could do it like red dead did. It was used for fast travel and saving in that epic game.
