I am going to start a new character and I'm thinking of doing a stealthy guy. I know about the stealth suit at the dam. But what I would really like to know is what to put as my starting SPECIAL and what skills I should build up besides sneak (of course)? I have never had a stealth character in any game I have played before so I don't really know where to start. Thanks for the help

I haven't messed with my stealth character since the patch, but I've noticed that when my character was like level 4 or 5..and used a stealth boy.. those cazadors could still hunt me down and kill me while crouched an hidden. Do they have a special thing for seeing me.. or was I too low a level? Is stealth broken?

Go with either Unarmed or Melee and get the Ninja perk.

Silenced weapon, high agillity, stand completely still when shooting as even if the enemy flashes as cautious and runs around, or moves towards you it does not mean you'll get detected.
As the A.I resets after a bit most times.
Bump up weapons and then sneak, use a stealth boy in danger areas, and stay at range unless using close combat as a focus.

Yeah, silenced weapons, use the guns, unarmed, melee, and stealth skills. Get high agility and perception. That's really it.

Try RatSlayer in the Broc Cave. It's a fully modded out Varmint Rifle and it's the [censored]! Just go in the cave take a right go past some nuclear waste then you'll go into a room and the gun is tilted up against a table!
