GTA IV Syndrome

I loved GTA IV and I played San Andreas first. I can't relate with CJ and I can really sympathize with . I loved Morrowind then I loved Oblivion and then since I wasn't 5 anymore I went back and loved Morrowind even more than before. I will soon love Skyrim.

GTA IV was not dumbed down by any means it just wasnt a fun game. Too much focus on to tell a "serious" story and being mature, that they forgot all about gameplay in my opinion. San Andreas was fun, Vice City was a blast!

GTA IV was the best yet. Deeper more realistic characters. Greater emphasis on emotional story plot and a great physics system. Not to mention a very alive and believable city. I mean do you really think Rockstar should just keep making the same game like the GTA 3 series. Some people just hate change

When ever you get your hope this high you are bound to be let down.

I don't really see a problem as long as the modding tools are as powerful as promised. You'll have to remember that in games like the GTA series, modding seems to be limited to "new car skins", which are purely cosmetic and ultimately useless. For Oblivion, there are huge gameplay mods which have addressed almost all of the complaints and increased the lifespan indefinitely, in addition to the useless cosmetic stuff. The modding community has improved Oblivion tenfold and will do the same with Skyrim. I'm sure there'll be plenty of things to complain about, just as I'm sure the game will continue to grow years after release.
