BUG: Perk Friend of the Night

Post » Sun Oct 24, 2010 8:42 am

I have this perk:

"Friend of the Night (1 Rank)
Prerequisite: Sneak 30, Perception 6
You are a true friend of the night. Your eyes adapt quickly to low-light conditions indoors and when darkness falls across the post-nuclear wasteland."

This works great outdoors during the night time hours. However, when I'm inside a building that's dark (for example the basemant at REPCON), the ability only works in the basemant during the night time hours. Based on the wording of the perk, it should work 24 hours a day when in low-light conditions.

I made a similar post the other day. I suppose this is a rather minor issue compared to the other bugs going on, but this seems like a simple functionality issue and hopefully an equally simple fix. Glad someone else noticed this, and I hope the devs take notice as well.

Maybe it doesn't affect your internal clock.

The perk seems to randomly work off and on. I had it working inside untill I killed somone and then had the Cine-kill and the low light stopped working.

The script goes out of it's way to remove it during daylight indoors. That doesn't make any sense so I have to assume the person writing the script misunderstood the intent.

Does it give you blue tinted vision like Cats Eye does? I have this perk, and honestly I can't tell the difference.

It kind of makes everything much lighter on your screen -- but it's not the same as the catseye "blue" you see with catseye. I really like the perk, but it's bugged (see above) so it's annoying.
