Yes there are advlts. I'm level 20 with 100 guns (95 plus Duster) and they're mere annoyances. In fact I just ignore them now. If the gear near me ED-E or Veronica make them go away and I don't have to be bothered.

There are, Cazador's are quite a hard critter to kill, maybe a little weaker than deathclaw's but they do a lot of damage, I suggest finding some decent weapon before trying to take them on, You will probably come across them during a later time in the game or try near a mountain terrain, that is where I found my first one :P

they're alot bigger than young ones

they do a stupid amount of damage along with poison. They also move very quickly.

Well ive done two playthroughs (the first one never got completed i started over) and the first one was pretty far into the game, a good 17 hours maybe? and i never found a single cazador, no young ones, and no advlts. As well i've NEVER seen a deathclaw. I started my fallout career with FO:3, played through once (a lot of the side quests finished too) and never seen one, that includes what ive played on NV as well.

The best way to deal with them is simply to keep distance between you and them. I had a buddy warn me about them. I'd been playing quite a bit and finally found about 10 of them. So I figured I'd see what they were all about. Pulled out the All American and Boone and I went to town. After about six or seven of them were dead I started thinking "what the hell is he talking about? they die in like two to three shots". Then Boone and I had to reload at the same time and one of the big ones was obviously able to get through the line. Realized very quickly that they're only dangerous up close. Just keep as much distance between them as possible.
