20 minutes in.
Going north.
12 radscorpions and giant radscorpions.
Me: :ahhh:
Meeing Cazadors for the first time: 1 hit 40% health gone, "OMYGODOMYGODOMYGOD!" next hit dead.
Going to Boomers place for the first time: "What the hell is he talking about, bombs? Whatever I can manage, hey, what's that sound? HOLY [censored]!!!"
3rd day expired from Rangers telling me to shape up: "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD DON'T RUN TOWARDS ME DON'T!!" *initiate dialogue* "You're dead mister" "HEEEEELP!"

Lots of times when I was scared to the bones. :D

A deathclaw spawned right in front of me as I was walking along. No tick marks showed up or anything; I was just walking down the road to my next destination and POOF! [censored]in' deathclaw tearing my face off. I was like "OMGWTF!"

I was exploring the area south-east of the strip, and I stumbled on a settlement crawling with Blind Deathclaws. I was only level six at the time so I decided to sneak away quietly, when I discovered that one had began to come after me. Keeping an eye on it, I ran backwards. All I saw was a claw on the side of my screen before I died.

Oh, and by the way, Mr. Eagle, you only ever really hit the ground when you're dead. I'm not surprised you were already dead by the time you hit it.

I was just north of New Vegas trying to look for something for whatever quest I was doing. I got a bit lost but I wasn't particularly worried. All I'd seen were Viper gang members and they're not particularly bad. I saw several red blips on my compass but I couldn't see anything and I couldn't VATS them anyway. I assumed I hadn't been detected and carried on walking.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Huh? What's that? Bloatfly? Bah, can't see anything. I'll carry on.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
ED-E HAS DIED.
CASS HAS DIED.
What the hell is happeni--
Before I can turn around I slump to the floor dead. I didn't even see what killed me. :( My first ever meeting with cazadors.

I'm not even going to get started on the Radscorpion Queen. :nope: I'm a massive entomophobic.

Regards to the Blind Deathclaws: They're not really blind, if you ask me. You shouldn't even need to be in sneak mode to slip past them; just walk slowly (or run if you have silent running). This is what I thought at first so I was like "Ok, they're blind. I just won't make any NOISE!" Walk past them and they suddenly turn around and eat me :/

Not so hard if you get a particular companion from nearby he is VERY good with a sniper rifle lol I am running along going, "hey leave some for me" by the time I got my sights up their heads were rolling, just as well you get XP as well :)

Had lots of scary moments, mainly running for my life away from Deathclaws after fighting against some clans soldiers and having next to 0 health, things start to get frantic when you are out of Stimpaks and you have 5 of them after you lol I saved up 25 sticks of TNT and started throwing them frantically lol ... very funny until I died!

I think calling them blind was just an excuse to give them a lower perception than other Deathclaws, or maybe it had something to do with the place I was, and they're blind for some reason relating to the location. Even so, these Deathclaws spotted me quicker than the time I tried to run the gauntlet that is the I-15, and they were all either 'normal' Deathclaws or Young Deathclaws.

Blind Deathclaws might have heightened hearing or sense of smell?

I was in this factory where there are a ton of Feral Ghouls. They don't seem to scream as much as they did in Fallout 3, so when you suddenly see one running towards you, you crap yourself even more than if you were more aware they were close.

I also remember walking along this rock-edge when I turned left to look into the distance. There was a Deathclaw running towards me, luckily it was a baby one. I still jumped like a mofo'.

It all happened when i decided to venture towards new vegas.

One road was littered with caza...large butter flys which eventually overwhelmed me.

Then I tried to off road it where I had the same experience as a previous poster did. An army of giant rad scorps...which ended badly.

Then with a stock pile of stealth boys i took to the center road. Littered with deathclaws I slowly made my way. The first attempt my stealth boy ran out of juice which ended quickly. Then I go to close to the darn thing just as is smelled the fresh air of freedom. 3rd time was the charm...3 stealth boys and I was on my way to get denied entrance to NV....

I was so scared stealthing through the big guys....

I slowly turned a corner and saw nothing yet my indicator showed a red mark not so far away then RAGHHHHGHGHHFHGHFHGFH...

A damn nightkin using a stealthboy charged me and knocked me down [censored]less

Thank god my companion used her power fist to break his legs

This. When one sense is gone others are heightened. Anyway I'm fighting a pack of Radscorpions I'm chipping away at them and backing off. Then all of a sudden I fall to the ground dead. I see a giant radscorpion had somehow gotten behind me and killed me with one stab.

The first time Caesar sent a hit squad after me, that was an experience. I was walking along the road, trying to get to Jacobstown, when suddenly I was being bum rushed by a mob of Legion guys with big guns! Wasted my companions in seconds. For some reason I couldn't do anything against them (forgot to load the AP rounds) but they are apparently some of the best marksmen on the planet, hitting me with almost every bullet from their 10mm SMGs over 80 yards out. I was like WTF! They are snipers with an SMG and I had a 4% chance of hitting their torso in VATS with my marksman carbine.

I was killed very quickly.

Small PowderGangers camp....cleared out the camp of 3-4 baddies...happy with myself, I walked up their humble camp to loot and pillage....

As I approach, I heard a rapid beeping "Oh Cra---BOOM!..." *Stagger Sideways* "BEEP BEEP BEE-BOOM!"

I crippled both legs that day, in a matter of 3 seconds. :(

1. Randomly exploring and then getting surrounded by what look like 100's of feral ghouls.
2. Running away from rad scorpions I ran into a pack of Deathclaws and I did not have any bullets.
3. Randomly walking around in Goodsprings I turn around and killed by Deathclaw in 1 hit.
4. VATS killed a dog and it made a really demonic sound.
5. Shot a Gecko in the face and it survived and came at me with a scary red demonic face.
6. Ran into Night Stalkers and Rad Scorpions and I was out of bullets.

I somehow wandered up to Black Mountain on my way to New Vegas and found myself running from 3 Super Mutants and 2 Nightkins with automatic weapons and large clubs. Me, with hardly any ammo left and very little health (level 8, I believe I was), ran for my life after taking out three of the 5.

That. svcked.
