Khajiit`s special attack

Post » Thu Oct 28, 2010 5:29 pm

I think it`d be cool if khajiits had a unique hand-to-hand fighting style.

Instead of hands, they could use their claws. After all, they`re there for a reason, right? Unlike the hand-to-hand version, the claw-to-claw would damage enemies without needing to reduce their fatique below 0. I found a video in youtube that slightly resembles as to how I would envision this working.

Now I`m sure some would say that this paw-nage would be overpowered compared to the already underpowered hand-to-hand combat but according to the lore khajiits are supposed to be better at hand-to-hand anyway.

They don't have claws in Skyrim. At least not at the moment. They would have no use for claws. They would just get in the way.

Most cats dont have fingers. They hide their claws inside their paws. I dont see how that would work with fingers.

I would prefer a tail attack :) Actually more useful for Argorians as they have thicker tails.

Cats can hide their claws pretty well.

As other has said cats don't have fingers, they lift their claws up, where it's hidden by the fur on the legs, if they could redraw their claws they had to be pretty small to fit on the outer part of a finger and large fixed claws would get in the way of everything.

Well I hope at last on such claws
http://files.tesall.ru/_files/sl/slofs-better-beasts/1.jpg
http://www.liztail.com/media/khaj_m_comp.jpg
And some special movements in hand to hand like some unique power attacks and base strikes not all but at last few of them, as well such can be done not only for beast races nord and orcs can have some heavy punches and uppercuts, mers some fast strikes and so on such racial movements also can be used as starting traits perk from hand to hand, so bosmers thats devote his life for study martial arts can learn Nords techniques of heavy punches and uppercuts difference will be thats Nords will have such perks as starting trait for H2H while bosmer will not, but he will have own racial style, races will be more unique, as well such movement perks can be done for weapon combat also so there will be schools of fencing and unique movements what can be learned from trainers combat more interesting from adding such features, as well trainers will be also have something more then just increase of skills..

If gauntlets add damage, then khajiits could have a natural damage boost to hand to hand without gauntlets on. IF they have claws in tes.

Well, if not actual combat, Khajiit should definitely have some kind of finishing move with their claws.

The more I read the more I think it would make sense for them to have non-retractable claws. They would probably need to trim them just as humans do with fingernails or they would get in the way as others said. Granted this is fantasy so they could make up a way for their claws to be extendable/retractable.

Well, if not actual combat, Khajiit should definitely have some kind of finishing move with their claws.

Actual weapons would be more practical wouldn't they? Claws would strike me as more painful than average human hand to hand but I don't imagine them as being deadly.

I would have said the same thing before I got Golden Saint armor for the first time in Shivering Isles. If you look at the gauntlets, they are claws. I've tested them with every matter of weapon and shield and not once have they clipped. I'd give you a link but unfortunately, I can't find any pictures of said gauntlets.

This a little off topic, but I'm eager to see what a Kajiit with Lycanthropy will look like. It'll be odd to see the mix of cat/dog. That is, if they don't use the same werewolf model for every race, or if they even have werewolf transformation at all.

They probably will. And it makes sense because the transformation is not biological but magical. Besides, can you imagine what an Argonian werewolf would look like?
