Faction Armors

I can see how helping the NCR the faction armor is an awesome addition to gameplay.

But when you join The Legion, you have to wear NCR armor everywhere, the strip, the dam, the towns, because they're all NCR controlled.

So wouldn't it be cool if there was like a (new item slot-maybe like slave collar/re-breather) scarf, or a patch for your arm that would change the faction alliance instead of the entire armor?

I wore more NCR armor than any other in the game and I really didn't want to wear it at all. Also the NCR armor weighs like 25-30lbs and the Legion stuff weighs like 12lbs, the game seems stacked in the NCR favor for faction disguises, and I think it's dumb.

There's mods that change the faction stuff to masks, but I like my helmets too (side note: 1st recon hat is OP...) and I wish there were more choices besides mainly...cowboy hats.

You tryen' to say somethin' bout' mah hat, boy? [Cue 'Big Iron']

As to your topic...I guess you should probably follow the rules of CL's army. Start killing instead of hiding or, if it looks like they're gonna get you, end it all yourself.

It never feels like you "join" the legion, that you're just helping them, they never even give you armor, which is a swing and a miss on obsidian's side.

Edit: I like how you can disguises yourself I think it's cool but I would like it more if you didn't have to switch your main source of customization to do so.

Oh I'm, sorry you like BoS power armor? TOO BAD the NCR are going to shoot you on sight. would they in reality? Yes, in-game it's more of a pain in the ass.

Maybe it all boils down to there being absolutely NOTHING to do in the legion camps besides
Spoiler
trading with a slave chef and arena fights, all 3 of them, man what a hoot.

It's too true! But I think this is part of the larger problem of there not being enough Legion outposts around. There are fewer Legion NPC's, quests, and in the end, opportunities. I've actually finished a legion playthrough (I wanted to take my time and explore but I was too excited about the main quest) and I noticed there were only a handful of real full-sized quests for them. I think I actually did more quests for the NCR than the Legion in that playthrough.

I've noticed that in my new playthrough for NCR there are a lot more opportunities to grab legion armor, but there's still not that much. In Caesar's Legion I had to cut a bloody swath through the wasteland with only Legion Recruit Armor to my name. I desperately wanted that Centurion armor, but no such luck.

Instead of messing with the faction armors, what I'd really like to do is be able to 'convert' minor military targets to the legion, with maybe a couple new unique characters to inhabit each.

EDIT: And you're absolutely right, there was NOTHING to do in the legion camp. Not even a doctor for when I was crippled.
