No, but you can buy a car with a large trunk... And use a number of companions.

Haven't played 2 for awhile, but I remember when I played both, I spent a great deal of time picking people's pockets to acquire money. It was alittle tedious, but, "patience is a virtue." And don't forget: Save, save, save.

Just started Fallout 2 too, found the disc only in an Oxfam for 99p. I was a bit lost at first working out the instructions etc but now I have i'm enjoying it almost as much as FO3 which i'm playing alongside.

Sorry. Money is hard to come by during the early stages of the game. But don't worry, towards the end you'll be swimming in it.

It's a game balancing mechanism really.

If you make a combat oriented character, money and items will be harder to come by.

If you really want fast starting cash, you might consider tagging Barter. You can buy items for cheap and sell for more. A starting character can gain access to some of the more powerful weapons earlier on this way.

Or you could tag Gambling, and then hit the casinos and make some major bucks early on.

It really all depends on the type of character you want to play.

You don't have worry about items disappearing. You just pick any place you like and stick your stuff there.

Money's supposed to be tight for a while, but once you can kick some ass you can make a lot selling the guns you take from your hapless victims.
