Badass Dunmer

Post » Wed Dec 01, 2010 11:38 am

I felt like the Dunmer weren't as cool in Oblivion. They were way more badass in Morrowind. I think the old voice should come back.

Real Dunmers were in Morrowind.
Don't like how they are changed in Oblivion.
So yes, I want more Morrowindish Dunmers in Skyrim.

If I could get Morrowind I would be able to give a proper response, but as long as it isn't the oblivion voice.

Yeah I miss the old raspy voice. Some will note that the voice may have been caused by living in an area full of ashe storms (MW) so Dunmer living elsewhere shouldn't have it. But I liked it.

wouldn't say bad ass but the dunmer of morrowind are indeed by far superiour to this wussy's in cyrodill ... It is utterly not suprised that many of the dunmer in cyrodill left morrowind, much likely because they were the wussy for being in Morrowind

Variations of both, please. Where the few badass ones belong to the surviving immigrants from the Morrowind, and keep the all those N'wah, outlander Dunmers with the sissy voice, so the hip and authentic Dunmer can bully them.

Lol I remember the first time I cloned the player character using the console, and talked to him.

NEVER did that again! He was a pathetic little whiny UGH. How much he DISGUSTS ME cannot be simply expressed through words. NOT what i imagined him to be, AT ALL

I think the old voice would get real annoying with the fully voiced dialogue. In short amounts like in Morrowind it is fine, but only in limited spurts. Plus, I want more than one voice actor per race and wouldn't want each person to have that grating voice.

The Dunmeri people should definitely get their raspy voices back. After all now they really have something to grumble about(meteorite smash and filthy lizard invaders among other things).

I hope they have a completely new voice.
Anything would be better than the voice in Oblivion though.

What they need isn't necessarily the old voice(Though it would help). Without their culture, there's not much differentiating them from the annoying wood elves.

I don't like either voices. I'd rather have something deep and a bit gravelly, but not like their throats are filled with cobwebs.

I'm hoping with the larger pool of voice actors, we get a good variety of voices for the Dunmer. But yes, I do hope one of the voices used is that of the raspy Morrowind style. I also want the sissy Cyrodilic accented Dunmer to come back though. But thats just two of voice styles that will be used. I'm hoping the others are going to be just as unique and fit the race.

I hated elven voices in oblivion. For altmer they were ok, but did not fit at all with dunmer. Remove voice acting altogether if the voices are going to be that bad. Whats more, accents should be apart of voice acting, like french for bretons, english for imperials, scottish for nords , asian for high elves and orcs ect, middle eastern or african for redguards, dunno for beasts lol.

Isn't canadian better for Nords? I thought about scandinavian for Nords but that would just sound weird. Orcs should not have an asian accent because they're to brutal. They should have a mix between the humans and the beasts.
