The Vampire Topic, come in I won't bite

Post » Tue Dec 07, 2010 3:52 am

I really enjoyed exploring the supernatural world in the TES: Morrowind, I would not be upset if they would have some vampire lore with vampires in the game, don't have to be related to any main stories but something on the side for people to seek out, explore.
What do you want? Got any cool ideas?

I'm not sure if vampires will be in Skyrim BUT there appears to be concept art of a female vampire in one of the dev videos.

Not only is it fairly easy to make the player become a vampire (compared to werewolves) but they've been in every game since Daggerfall. Not only that, but Skyrim is the location of the origin of vampires. I'd be pretty surprised if the player could not be turned into a vampire in Skyrim.

First:Maybe... depends what you can do with it
Second:I really liked it in Morrowind because you could join a clan and people reacted when you walked near them ofc you were also damaged by daylight

We need more werewolf lore. Vampires have been in almost every ES game; Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion. I don't doubt that they will be back in Skyrim. And as Velorien mentioned above, Skyrim was the place where Lamae Beolfag was born. She was the first vampire to ever exist in Nirn.

I personally want to see the Order vampires of Cyrodiil come against the Volkihar.

I can't remember them in TES: Oblivion but was there vampires in that game aswell? I didn't even know that Skyrim is the location of the origin of vampires, NOW I really would be upset if there was no vampire lore or the chance of becoming vampire in TES: Skryim.

Yes. Vampires in Oblivion were the Cyrodiilic clan.

More information of them are found: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Manifesto_Cyrodiil_Vampyrum and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Immortal_Blood

The origin of vampires is found http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Opusculus_Lamae_Bal_ta_Mezzamortie

I got Ninja'd too hehe.

The member of the Cyrodilic clan are Janus Hassildor, Lord Lovidicus and Jakbean Earl of Imbel. Also the player(If you become a vampire, Janus likes you better. You get a 20+ disposition.

In Daggerfall they talked about these ancient societies of vampires feuding, and they had a mini version of that in Morrowind. I'd like to see a whole new take on vampire for Skyrim, or at least I think it's new.

My idea for vampires would be to have a nomadic group that was half people and half vampires. The vampires would work as the hunters and warriors, the humans would be willing cattle and the producers of their tents and weapons. If a battle was coming, they could make some more vampires on the quick. Other times they might go lighter on the number of vampires so they'd have more daytime guards. I'd also like it if the vampirism didn't make you immortal, but only extended your life for perhaps twenty years. Vampirism should make you sterile, so people don't necessarily want to become vampires until they've started a family.

Or since the Empire crumbled, we can have the vampires who pull the strings(The Order vampires of Cyrodiil) invade Skyrim and fight off the Volkihar. A savage clan vs a civilized vampire clan. Monster vs monster.
