Can containers store x4 daedric cuirass...

Will they make containers store infinite weight? Hopefully they do. I didn't like that in MW when I had to use every possible crate in Balmora to store loot.

I hope so, one of the few things in Morrowind that really annoyed me.

I hope so I'd be disappointed if you couldn't.

Considering that both Oblivion and FO3 had no container limits, and they're more recent games than MW, I'd guess that's how the containers will be. Design trends at Beth point that way.

Whoops, I didn't understand what the last option really meant at first. Hahaha but yes, infinite storage would be nice

In morrowind they had a cap on containers... some small pots wouldnt allow you to put a sword in.

ikr, but perma bodies had no cap, so it was pretty weird. Regular containers can't store a full set of ebony armor but Ralen Hlaluus body can store a full set of High Ordinator Armor.

Exactly. I prefer that, since..... you know..... you really can't put a sword in a small pot.

I'd like to see a system with finite container capacity and the ability to add more containers. I think it makes much more sense if containers can actually only contain a finite amount of stuff, since they're containers - not doorways to an alternate dimension. If the player could simply add more containers and arrange them as desired, then it would be pretty much impossible to run out of storage space anyway, and would make much more sense in the game world.

That would be nice until you filled your house with boxes and had no room to actually move around and enjoy the place.
I voted yes, im a bit of a hoarder when it comes to loot, in Oblivion, when I lived in Battlehorn Castle, I stored all the loot I acquired while out adventuring and closing oblivion gates in a chest in my private quarters, the chest eventually became so full of crap that it lagged every time I put something in it. The game crashed when I tried to take all of it to put somewhere else, That didn't surprise me though, considering it took a full minute to scroll from weapons to misc items.
I would be very frustrated if containers had limited storage space, because I would eventually need to buy every house available and stock up all my crap in to satisfy my hoarding habits.

Well, it makes sense to have limit for small containers
Maybe one of most expensive upgrades for home can be enchanted bottomless chest?
Because I don't care if most containers have have cap, I simply need at least one for keeping useful stuff like ingredients, alternate equipment, soul gems and artifacts
Or maybe banks can have feature of infinite storage room along with keeping your money (I still hope, that coins will have weight, naive me)

it annoys me when people say this... 90% of the people who play this game won't be able to just mod a solution. such a response is a bit self centered and egotistical.... there is a good reason they are building this game on the 360... because it represents universality... not this elitism thats suggests only PC users needs should be taken into account. if your going to make a game, you shouldn't leave it unfinished and unpolished just because 10% of the players can fix it themselves... why not just give people Gamebryo and tell them to build skyrim themselves? thank you. have a glorious day.

Super agree, despite of being a hardcoe PC player :)
The game shouldn't need mods to be good. The end.

I can't say its a big issue for me
ideally the good loot should be rare enough that you don't need infinite storage containers

Never really bothered me in Morrowind, but I admit that it is more convenient in Oblivion or Fallout to be able to store infinite gear.

I always seperate my storage into like categories: Components, Weapons, Armor, Sellable, etc.... So i rarely have jampacked containers.

Agreed. But don't attack the modders. The good ones make the game more enjoyable for a long long tiime. Infamous 2 gives me hope that we might see a Mod download on consoles. Their premise is basic but it's a start!

I would rather them be able to hold a fixed volume, just like it better that way.
When I first that in oblivion I was surprised and thought it was pretty lame.

I hope containers will have infinite storage. It seems like alot of people wants Skyrim to be super-realistic, I'd like to know why. Is it because they don't have any real life? Is it because they want Skyrim perfect? Or is it because of something else?

No. You got the numbers mixed up. 70% of people who play this game will just be able to find a mod for most problems. 30% of people won't be able to fix what they want. The other parts are partially true though. Yes, they should care about consoles. Mods are just a benefit. If you're not playing Skyrim on the PC, you should. Don't see why you wouldn't (other than money issues).

And on topic, containers will probably have infinite storage.

How do you know that? DnD had bags of holding which pretty much were doorways to an alternate dimension, maybe the containers in TES are the same way. You could rationalize that lorewise by saying that the containers of holding weren't invented until after the events in morrowind lol. :whistling: (Obviously I'm just joking, I'm guessing it's just easier to have the containers like this to avoid having a house that can't hold all of your loot.)

I started not picking up anything more than I could carry with me except for rare ingredients and a few pieces of equipment that I planned on enchanting later. I got out of the pattern of pack-ratting in games and have enjoyed them more because of it (more time spent exploring than micromanaging inventories).
