Explore and gain some levels. Maybe start the main quest at lvl 40-50'ish.

Take the manual to the toilet to....study.

Explore cities first, did that in Morrowind and Oblivion, probably join guilds while I mess around. Then out in the wilderness and explore more.

Walk the 7000 steps, paralyze myself and watch me fall down in 3rd person.

No, explore the wilderness.

Two things.
1) There are already posts like this
2) I will do the main quest on my first playthrough and depending on the ending I might play on the same file or make a new one and only side quest.

Well!

I'll go into the nearest settlement and explore until I find the local bakery. I'll make friends with the baker and chat with him until he gives me a sweet roll! Then I'll walk through the town looking for a place to enjoy my sweet roll, until upon passing a group of other children my age, they demand the sweet roll from me

When that happens, I'll take that sweet roll, and I will..........

Explore the wilderness, or rather, get a feel for the AI/weapons/quest format and so on and decide if I really want to buy this game or not.

Talk to people, finding small side quests to do, just to get a feel for the game. Then I'll join a guild. I'll leave the main quest for a while, as the whole dragon thing doesn't really interest me.

Attack the very first person/beast I see with the very first weapon I get/ use my fists of fury on snow bunnies. Only then will I search for dragons and gold.

Talk to people, start doing guilds, and work my way to the main quest. It will be so nice to be back.

Depends where the actual game starts, if I am in a dungeon I'll have to check the combat styles, if I am in the wilderness I'll stay on the beaten path and watch the living world until I find a settlement to get some decent gear, if I am in or near a town I'll talk to people to see how the new dialogue works. It's going to be fantastic anyway.
