If players can use stuff like brooms, scythes, and pickaxes for weapons in Skyrim, I think that would be a great idea for increased in immersion; it would also take away the fact that such items in Oblivion were essentially useless and just took up data space because only NPCs were able to use them for animation purposes only. In other words, items such as brooms, bowls, and scythes served no other purpose other than for NPC animations. I don't understand why Bethesda even made such items lootable if they had no purpose for the player. Because Skyrim will feature stuff such fishing, woodcutting, and hunting, I hope Bethesda will allow items such as pickaxes and garden hoes as requirements for performing such tasks.
