Combos

I didn't like all that button mashing in Oblivion, that is why I almost always played archer/magic...
i think Skyrim should include some kind of combos for melee weapons, maybe timing the attacks right could make u hit a little faster
what do you think?

I was thinking like, kill your enemy in multiple ways and earn bonus XP. Like poison him first, stick an arrow in his chest, freeze him and hack at him for extra xp

No. Combos belong in hack n slash games or so-called RPGs like Fable... not in Elder Scrolls games.

Maybe one or two, don't mind a little bit of depth to the combat, but this is Elder Scrolls, not Virtua Fighter.

It's been mentioned in game informers "better combat" article that there will be a combo system. Not one that counts up how many hits you do how soon, but the ability to time your hits to most effectively damage your opponent.

well there are screens of an assassin looking dude killing a globin by grabbing him and stabbing him. there is also a brief scene in the trailer where he sticks his sword into a bandit that appears to be something other than straight up slicing so unless those things randomly happen im guessing they are "combos".

You could say the same thing about movie-like finishers. TES is a becoming more of a hybrid between a hack-and-slash and RPG. Since combos could actually add depth and fun to the combat, unlike the "cool finishing moves", I think that they're a good thing to add to the game. It's even possible to make it so that you can only use certain combos when you've chosen the perk or achieved a certain set of prerequisites. In this sense, they could actually add to the RPG experience rather than detract from it.

tl;dr: Combos can be done right and TES is already part hack-and-slash.
