If they did that, they would get complaints about grabbing from FO: Tactics. One of the above posters is right, no matter WHAT they do, be it old or new, none of the original fans will be happy.

If they advance the timeline a generation or two with every game,then by FO5 enough time would have passed for some parts of nature to return. Places like D.C. with clean water,California having a greatly expanded NCR,and other pockets around the continent will have formed into individual nations.

Then the Enclave shows up stronger than ever,after establishing themselves in some part of America that doesn't have meddling teenagers to thwart their plans,and you have Continental War I on your hands. Then the final boss or battle will be the decisive battle on the homefront of the PC.

Aliens because when they saw what we did to ourselves they'd feel Pitty (or Disgust) either exterminate us or put us out of our misery.
